Answer: 3 Na atoms in Na3PO4 compound

and 1.8066x10^24 atoms of Sodium in 1 molecule of Na3PO4

We are given :

• Sodium phosphate (Na3PO4 )molecule

• Number of Atoms in the Na3PO4 = 3 Na ; 1 P and 4 Oxygen atoms.

This means that Na3PO4 has 3 atoms of Sodium

However ;

• We are to determine how many atoms of sodium (Na) are present in 1 molecule of Na3PO4

,

• Recall that ,1 mole of any substance contains 6.022⋅10^23 ,by avargadros principles.

\begin{gathered} 3Na\text{ will have = 3}\cdot6.022\cdot10^(23)\text{ } \\ \text{ =1.8066x10}^{24\text{ }}\text{ atoms } \end{gathered}

This means that the number of Sodium atoms in Na3PO4 = 1.8066x10^24 atoms .
