a farmer has 6 cartons of speacilty eggs for sale each carton contains 12 eggs if 2/3 of the eggs are brown eggs what is the total number of brown eggs he has for sale

Assuming there are 12 eggs in each carton, multiply the number of eggs by the number of cartons.

12 * 6 = 72.


Then, divide.


72 ÷ (2/3) = 48.


There are 18 brown eggs for sale.

If there are 12 eggs in each carton then 12×6=72. Then you have to divide 72÷2/3 which equals 48
