we need the inverse of

y=(3x)/(8+x)

First, we must swap x by y, hence

x=(3y)/(8+y)

Now, we must isolate y. The 2nd step is

x(8+y)=3y

hence, we have

8x+xy=3y

the 4th step is

\begin{gathered} 8x=3y-xy \\ \\ \\ \end{gathered}

hence, by factorizing y, we have

\begin{gathered} 8x=y(3-x) \\ \\ \end{gathered}

therefore, the invers function is

y=(8x)/(3-x)

since f(x)=y,

f(x)=(8x)/(3-x)
