The volume function is:

V= Length x Width x Height

We seek how to express each measure as a function of X4

\begin{gathered} \text{width = X} \\ \text{Length = 3X-2} \\ \text{Height = }4 \end{gathered}

with clear measurments we can replace

V=(3x-2)*(x)*(4)

we can reduce the expression to have a more similar to the options

V=(4x)*(3x-2)

I used V for Volume but in the options is Y however it is not a problem

Y=4x(3x-2)
