One kind of bacteria in a laboratory culture triples in number every 30 minutes. Suppose a culture is started with 30 bacteria cells. How many bacteria will there be after 2 hours?

2 hours = 4 * 30 minutes

30 * 3 = 90
90 * 3 = 270
270 * 3 = 810
810 * 3 = 2430

So after 2 hours you will have 2430 bacteria cells.
