$79.99 x 12% = $9.5988 merchandise discounted
$79.99-$9.5988 = $70.3912 rounded $70.39 sales merchandise
$70.39 x 6.75%= 4.7513 sales tax

$70.39 + $4.7513= $75.1413 or

the answer rounded is: $75.14
