When swimming near shore you should be aware of rip currents, sharks, harmful algal blooms, unclean water, sunburn, poisonous manchineels trees, jellyfish, shore breaks, stingrays.

There are a number of hazards near the shore, including jellyfish, rip tide, algae and other organisms that may cause harm.
