How do the phrases "star-cross'd lovers" and "death-mark'd love" introduce the themes of love and fate in the prologue to Romeo and Juliet? Support your response with evidence from the prologue.

The prologue reveals that the play is gonna be a tragedy, we find out that romeo and juliet are "star-cross'd lovers" which in itself shows the theme of love and fate!

"Star-crossed lovers" and "Death-mark'd love" are in themselves ways to say that tragedy will befall two in love. So in the prologue it clearly states that they will meet a tragic end, most likely death.
