Firstly we have to consider that an autoimmune disease is a disease that causes our own body to destroy its own tissues and cells. Among these conditions, the one that is an autoimmune disorder or disease is type 1 diabetes, since this pathology causes our own immunologic system to attack our own tissues and cells, being the reason why a high percentage of diabetes patients have damage in parts of their bodies.
