Hi!

The difference between two numbers is the larger number takeaway the smaller number. In this case, 15 is the larger number. So the answer is..

15 - (-18)

Which equals..
33

The answer is 15 - (-18) and the distance between them is 33.

Hope this helps! :)

Hey, there!

The word "distance" means "subtract:"

For A: The question isn't asking the distance of
15 &
-18 (So, this cannot be your answer) (it would give you the result of
33 )

For B: The question isn't asking the distance of
15 &
18 (so this isn't answer) (it would give you a result
-3 )

For C: It's not asking for the distance of
18 and
15 because it would give you the outcome of a
3 (so, this isn't your answer)

For D. it is doing what the question is asking so this would most likely be your answer. The answer would be (if we solved it)
-33

Answer:
OptionD.

Remember to break down the words (or numbers) it will come in handy for the future

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
