What is the connection between friction and thermal energy help plz

Think of thermal energy as heat. For friction, think of two sticks rubbing together. When you rub these sticks together faster, you're creating more friction so you can eventually start a fire (heat). So, the more friction you have, the higher your thermal energy will be, or the more heat you will make.
