A group of 6 friends split the cost of a dinner. Jon paid for his portion plus $5 toward the tip for a total of $68.00. What was the total cost (x) of the meal?

I think you........

Take 68 minus 5 which i 63 and then divide by 6. You get $10.50 per person and with the extra five dollor Jon paid. Hope this helps
