Four symptoms associated with cystic fibrosis are -
1. The mucus in the cystic fibrosis causes the clogging of tubes carrying air resulting into thick mucus with coughing. The other respiratory symptoms include –
a) Wheezing problem
b) Breathlessness and lung infections
c) Stuffy nose
2. The thick mucus also causes blocking of tubes that carry digestive enzymes from pancreas to small intestine. The following symptoms are visible –
a) High rate of constipation
b) Blockage in intestine
c) Smelly stools
d) Weight gain
