Example question: There are 38 students in a baseball club. The coach needs to split them up into equal groups of 4. How many groups can be made? How many kids are left over?
Answer: You would make groups of 4 to get your quotient (9). Then whatever is NOT in a group is your left over.

Answer:

Attaches is a quick picture, showing a graphical example of a simple division where we have a 12 slices full pizza, and 5 people who wants to eat.

If we want to distribute the slices equitative, then we operate as follows

12 |5\\\\10 2\\2

As the picture shows, each one can eat to slices and 2 will be the remainder
