Final answer:

4.106 rounded to the nearest hundredths is 4.11, as the thousandths digit (6) dictates that the hundredths place is rounded up.

Step-by-step explanation:

The student has asked about rounding the number 4.106 to the nearest hundredths. To round to the hundredths place, we look at the digit in the thousandths place to decide whether to round up or down. In the case of 4.106, the digit in the thousandths place is '6,' which is more than 5. Therefore, we round up the last digit in the hundredths place from '0' to '1,' resulting in 4.11 as the rounded number to the nearest hundredths.

the answer is 4.10
think of the decimal as ones
then the 1 as tens
0 is hundredths
and 6 is thousandths.
once you have this down you can round up or down 0, and since its 0 you round down. so you take off the 6 and your left with 4.10
