A plant 3 in. tall grows an average of 0.5 in. each month. Which equation models the flowerÍs height h after x months?

3 = x + 0.5
h = 0.5x + 3
h = 3x + 0.5

h= 0.5x + 3  is your answer. 3 inches is the original height, the constant. So 3 is always added. Each month, the plants grows 0.5 inches so that means that 0.5 is multiplied by the number of months, x. So, height = 0.5 inches (times) the number of months + 3.
