x=3 ,y=6

Explanation:

4x+6y=44 eqni

4x+2y=28 eqn ii

now subtract it eqn i and ii

4x+6y=44

-4x+2y=28

or, 0 +4y=24

or, 4y=24

or , y=24/4

or,y=6

putting value of y in eqn i

4x+6y=44

4x+6×6=44

4x=44-36

4x=12

x=12/4

x=3
