To form a mixed number, we first divide the numerator by the denominator to obtain the highest whole number:
50/8 = 6.25, so the highest whole number is 6
Now, we multiply the obtained number and the denominator and subtract the product from the numerator.
50 - 6 x 8 = 2
Now, we place the difference next to the whole number and divide it by the denominator:
6 2/8 = 6 1/4
