Answer: D.Greenhouse gases

Nonrenewable energy resources are those resources which are limited on earth and these cannot be replenished after use. These includes fossil fuels like coal, petroleum, natural gas and others. The possible cost of using nonrenewable energy resource is greenhouse gases. The burning of fossil fuels results in release of gases like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and methane in the atmosphere which are potent green house gases.
