Answer:

x=2

Explanation:

we have

x-2y=2 ------> equation A

3x+y=6 ------> equation B

Multiply by
2 equation B

2*(3x+y)=2*6 ------>
6x+2y=12 -----> equation C

Adds equation A and equation C

x-2y=2\\6x+2y=12\\--------\\x+6x=2+12\\7x=14\\x=2

Find the value of y

x-2y=2

2-2y=2

2y=0

y=0

the answer is
x _ 2y = 2
3x + y = 6
3x _ 6y = 6 (1
3x + y = 6 (2
(1 - (2
-7y=0, y=0, so x - 2.0=2 implies x=2
