Answer : The most likely charge of an ion formed from an atom will be, (-1) charge.

Explanation :

The given electronic configuration is,

1s^22s^22p^5

The number of electrons = 2 + 2 + 5 = 9 electrons

An element is, Florine (F)

For attaining the stable electronic configuration, we need one more electron. When we are adding an electron in the given electronic configuration then it will be negatively charged (-1).

The stable electronic configuration will be,

1s^22s^22p^6

The element Florine will be an anion and have negative charge,
F^-

Hence, the most likely charge of an ion formed from an atom will be, (-1) charge.

it will be -1 because in valence shell there will be 7 electrons so it will take 1 from other atom to complete its outer shell
