Answer:
Pilgrims who arrive to settle in the New World did not know how to farm because of the soil. Settlers were not familiar with the New England soil, which was different than England. Luckily Pilgrims had Native Indians who were willing to help them in cultivating new crops like corn, squash, and beans. Native Indians helped colonists by teaching them how to tap the maple trees for sap, along with how to fish in the Bay. Pilgrims were able to survive in the New World and celebrated Thanksgiving Day.
