Answer:

Question 1 :

Since, number of cats = an even number,

Also, the number of dogs = an odd number,

That is,

Number of cats = 2n ( Where, n ∈ N, because number of animal can not a decimal or irrational number ),

Number of dogs = 2w + 1, where w is a whole number,

Hence,

Possible number of cats and dog are,

( 2, 1 ), ( 6, 7), (8, 9), (12, 13),,.....etc..

Question 2 :

If Number of cats = 6

So, the possible number of dogs,

1, 3, 5, 7........
