He dropped out after six months.
Steve Jobs started studying at Reed College in the fall of 1972. He was 17 years old.
After the first semester, he officially dropped out. He was, however, hanging around the campus almost every day, trying to discover his 'purpose' in life.
Jobs became bored with college. He did not like participating in all the obligatory courses. Instead, he went to courses that interested him, like dancing.
Jobs felt guilty about spending so much of his parents' money on education which he did not appreciate. So he decided to drop out.
