A triangle has a area of 36 square feet. if the height is 6 feet more than it's base, what are its height and base

The formula for a triangle's area =1/2bh. Since you already have the height, and area, plug those in.

36=1/2b(6)
36=b3
12=b
Your base is 12 feet.
