3) To transmit information on the internet, large files are broken into packets of smaller sizes. Each packet has 1500 bytes of information. An equation relating packets to bytes of information is given by b = 1500p where p represents the number of packets and b represents the number of bytes. How many packets would be needed to transmit 30000 bytes of information? Show your work using the equation.

The given equation is b=1500p, where b is the amount of bytes and p the number of packets.

To b = 30,000 bytes, it will be:

30000 = 1500p

p = 30000/1500

p = 20

They would need 20 packets.
