Loom is also the most important invention of the Neolithic period which brought about the ability to weave fibers into a cloth.

The iron and textile industries, with the discovery of the steam engines, played the pivotal role in the Industrial Revolution. Industrial revolution also noticed improved modes of communication, banking, and transportation.
