If it's not too much of a bother

Could someone explain why we need an a, b, and c, in standard form when point-slope and point-intersect.

I understand how to convert the equations, but I don't understand why a, b, and c are nessasary

a,b and c are necessary because you can not have a good graph without at least 3 inputs or the chart would be bias
