1 ÷ 4x + 10 = 2
From the BODMAS, we carry out the division first.
1/(4x) +10 =2
1/(4x) = 2 - 10
1/(4x) = - 8
Take the reciprocal of both sides
4x/1 = 1/-8
4x = -1/8
Divide both sides by x.
x = -1/8 * 1/4
x = - 1/32
Hope this explains it.
