x-intercept would be (-5,0)

and the y-intercept would be (0,-5)

ANSWER

The x-intercept is
(-5,0)

The y-intercept is
(0,-5)

See attachment for graph.

Step-by-step explanation

The given function is

y=-x-5

To find the x-intercept, we put
y=0 in to the equation.

The equation now becomes
0=-x-5.

We now solve for
x to obtain;

5=-x

-5=x

Therefore the x-intercept is
(-5,0).

To find the y-intercept, we substitute
x=0 in to the equation
y=0-5

\Rightarrow y=-5.

This means that the y-intercept is
(0,-5).

We now plot the intercepts and draw a straight line through them to obtain the graph that is shown in the attachment.
