Explain the difference between evaporation and boiling

well evaporation is a gradual vaporization of a liquid on the surface whereas boiling is a rapid vaporization of a liquid only when it is heated to its boiling point.

evaporation- the surface of the liquid is heated slowly and eventually becomes a gas

boiling- the entire liquid is heated and the entire liquid becomes a gas
