For the sum to be less than 9, sum of two rolls is 7 or 8.
Since the first roll is 6, the second roll will be 1 or 2
Proobability = 2/6^2 = 2/36 = 1/18

since the
that the first roll is a 6, so the second must be 1 or 2,
so p= 2/36=1/18
