P (smaller) : P (larger) = 5 : 8
P (larger) = 72 in
P s : 72 = 5 : 8
8 P s = 72 * 5
8 P s = 360
P s = 360 : 8
P s = 45 in
Answer:
The perimeter of the smaller rectangle is 45 inches.
