Answer:

The total number of apple is 20 and total weight is 100 ounces.

Explanation:

Addison is making caramel apples. She has
2(1)/(2) bags of apples.

One full bag has 8 apples and each apple weighs 5 ounces.

Total number of apples can be calculated by multiplying number of bags with number of apples in each bags.

As in a full bag there are 8 apples, so number of apples is,

=2(1)/(2)* 8\\\\=(5)/(2)* 8\\\\=(40)/(2)\\\\=20

Multiplying the total number of apple with weight of one apple will yield the total weight of the apples. So the expression will be,

=\text{Total number of apple}* \text{Weight of one apple}

=20* 5\\\\=100\text{ ounces}
