Analyze the following statements. Which of them is correct with respect to the RNA transcript formed by means of transcription?

The RNA transcript is an exact replica of the DNA from which it is transcribed. It has the same sequence as that of its parent DNA strand.
The RNA transcript is complimentary to the DNA from which it is transcribed. Instead of thymine, it has uracil, which complements the adenine of DNA.

The only statement which I find correct is definitely the second one : The RNA transcript is complimentary to the DNA from which it is transcribed. Instead of thymine, it has uracil, which complements the adenine of DNA; as you should remember that in in RNA, U comes instead of T.
