Answer:

The equation of a line passing through points
(x_1,y_1)and
(y_1,y_2) is given by:

y-y_1 = ((y_2-y_1))/(x_2-x_1)(x-x_1)

According to question, the passing points of the line are (1,1) and (3,-3). So, its equation is given by:

y-1 = (-3-1)/(3-1) (x-1) \\or, y-1 = (-4)/(2)(x-1)\\or, 2y-2 = -4x+4\\or, 4x + 2y = 2+4\\or, 4x+2y = 6\\or, 2x+y = 3 is the required equation.
