Which inequality represents the following sentence?

Seven fewer than a number is at least 14

Can you explain this to me rather than just give me the answer?

because it says fewer you will need -
because of "than" x is the number reduced
at least means it can be equal with 14
so the correct answer is d

1) 7 fewer than a number => x - 7
2) At least 14 => x - 7 is equal or gretar than 14

Then, x - 7 ≥ 14, which is the option D.
