A rocket fires two engines simultaneously. One produces a thrust of 755 directly forward while the other gives a thrust of 525 at an angle 24.2above the forward direction. a) Find the magnitude of the resultant force which these engines exert on the rocket.b) Find the deviation of the direction (relative to the forward direction) of the resultant force which these engines exert on the rocket.

A rocket fires two engines simultaneously. One produces a thrust of 755 directly forward while the other gives a thrust of 525 at an angle 24.2above the forward direction. The resultant force can be solve using cosine law where the angle c = 180-24.2 = 155.8. the resultant force is 1252.49. the direction of the resultant force can be solved using sine law which is equal to 9.89 degree above the forward direction.
