Why does salt remain in a pan when it is boiled in water and the water evaporates

The salt is left behind because the water is easily turned into a gas, while the salt will not break apart because of its ions

It's mostly because the heat of the pan does not go to a high enough level to force the salt to evaporate. It's also because the salt is heavier than the water and is still a solid, so it stays there.
