The answer is 5 because I used an example to get my answer. The example I used was "Anna had 12 slices of apples, and she ate 7 slices. How many slices she have left?" That is my example to help for my answer. Another way is to draw 12 things, like pieces of candy, and cross out 7 pieces of candy, then count how many pieces of candy I haven't cross out.
