I'm happening to be studying for my Biology exam right now! :) Diffusion is a form of passive transport, which means that it goes down the concentration gradient (an area of high concentration to an area of lower concentration.) No energy is required for diffusion. The atoms, ions, or molecules that undergo diffusion are small. When molecules are too large, they undergo facilitated diffusion or active transport. Let me know if you need any more help!
