solving for y:

To calculate the y-intercept, x must be equal to 0 and to calculate the x-intercept, y must be 0, therefore

y-intercept

$\begin{gathered} y=3\cdot0-6 \\ y=-6 \\ (0,-6) \end{gathered}$

x-intercept

$\begin{gathered} 0=3\cdot x-6 \\ 3x=6 \\ x=(6)/(3)=2 \\ (2,0) \end{gathered}$
