Answer:

in feet: 0.012ft^(2) \\in inches: 1.78in^(2)

Explanation:

First, using the scale of the drawings, the actual lengths of the living room on the drawing can be found. The scale states that every unit on the drawing is 110 times larger in actuality.

New measurements are found by dividing by 110:

(10)/(110) =0.09091ft\\(15)/(110) =0.13636ft

Calculate Area:

A=l*w\\A=0.09091*0.13636\\A=0.0124ft^(2)

To Calculate the Area in a more appropriate unit, the length can be found in terms of inches, by multiplying by 12.

0.09091*12=1.091in\\0.13636*12=1.636in

In which case the area is:

A=1.091*1.636\\A=1.78in^(2)
