If length of the box = x

And width of the box = y

Then perimeter of the box = 2(length + width)

= 2(x + y)

Since, perimeter of the box is less than 30 inches.

2(x + y) < 30

x + y < 15

y < -x + 15

Since, this inequality has a sign of less than, line on the graph will be a dotted line.

y intercept of the dotted line y = 15 (by x = 0)

x intercept of the line x = 15 (by y = 0)

Constraints for the graph will be,

x > 0

y > 0

Now we can plot the dotted line by joining the x and y intercepts.

In this graph common region under the dotted line between x axis and y axis will be the solution area of the given inequality.
