108 is 1/3 of 324 so 324*4=(108*4)*3
you multiply the product of 108*4 by thee to get 324*4

$324=3*108\\\\therefore:\\\\324*4=(3*108)*4=3*(108*4)!!\\\\solving:\\\\108*4=432\\\\therefore:\\\\324*4=3*432=\boxed{1296}$
