The graph of any curve crosses the y-axis when x=0. Substitute x=0 (in x^2 also )in the equation to find the point where the curve crosses the y-axis.


\begin{gathered} y=2(0)^2+3(0)-2 \\ \Rightarrow y=0+0-2 \\ \Rightarrow y=-2 \end{gathered}

Thus, the curve crosses the y-axis at (0, -2)
