A) Quotient is the result of division and so the quotient of m and 5 is not equivalent to m + 5 and, therefore, definitely not a division problem.
B) More means addition. I ate two pieces of pizza and I would like one more (2 + 1). m + 5 is equivalent to m more than 5. This is our answer.
C) Less means subtraction. I had 4 dogs but now I have 2 less than 4 dogs (4 - 2 = 2 or -2 + 4 = 2) If you are uncertain why -2 + 4 is 2 feel free to ask and I will explain.
D) Product is the result of multiplication. m * 5 multiplies the number 5 by whatever the value of m happens to be. This is clearly not m + 5 either.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I know math might seem boring right now. I didn't think I liked when I was in school either but I later realized I did and regret not taking the time to learn it when I had teachers to teach me. Best of luck to you!
