Temperature

Which temperature during the week is the closest to 0?

We know the absolute value can be understood as the distance between that quantity and zero

In this case the closest value to zero is -0.5 (Thursday)

Then we know that the smallest absolute value of all quantities is -0.5, because

|-0.5| = 0.5 is the distance from zero, then it is the closest

Which temp is farthest from 0?

The highest absolute value of all quatities is the temp on Tuesday because

|5| = 5 is the distance from zero, then it is the farthest

Which is the coldest temp?

The smallest value is the coldest temperature.

If the value is at the left to another it is smaller than the other.

Then the coldest is Sunday, because -4 is on the left

Which is the warmest temp?

The higher value is the warmest temperature.

If the value is at the right to another it is bigger than the other.

Then the warmest is Tuesday, because 5 is on the right
