K=2 you have to multiply 3 to 2k and -2 then you multiply 2 to 4k and -11 then I chose to get rid of the -8 which you got from -2 times 4k you should now have 14k-6=22 then you get rid of 6 add 6 to 22 then you should be left with 14k=28 then divide and your final answer should be k=2

3(2k - 2) = -2(4k - 11)

Multiply out

3*2k - 3*2 = -2*4k -2*-11

6k - 6 = -8k + 22

Carry over like terms

6k + 8k = 22 + 6

14k = 28

Divide by 14, to get k

k = 28/14

k = 2

I hope this explains it.
