3(2k - 2) = -2(4k - 11)
Multiply out
3*2k - 3*2 = -2*4k -2*-11
6k - 6 = -8k + 22
Carry over like terms
6k + 8k = 22 + 6
14k = 28
Divide by 14, to get k
k = 28/14
k = 2
